17 year old Reed Kessler and Cylana top the 2012 Olympic Show Jumping Team Long List. Performance counts for a lot, but the final decision will be up to the Olympic show jumping selector as to who makes the team. They have a system tailored specifically to this year’s trials, and while the expected clear rounds, time and a horse’s fitness are of great importance. There is also “gut” factor that will come into play.
